Barcelona star Ferran Torres will fly to Paris today to complete €50 million PSG move | OneFootball

Ferran Torres’ time as an FC Barcelona player is set to come to an end imminently.

As reported on Thursday, the Blaugrana have reached an agreement with French champions Paris Saint-Germain over a €50 million transfer for the forward.

The 26-year-old attacker has already agreed terms on a contract with the back-to-back European champions.

Ferran on his way to Paris imminently

Now, according to Matteo Moretto, Ferran will fly to Paris today to finalise his transfer to PSG.

The World Cup hero for Spain is expected to leave for France some time later today in order to complete his medicals with Les Parisiens and sign his contract with the club.

An official announcement of the transfer could follow, possibly tomorrow.

The transfer will see the 26-year-old forward reunite with former Spain manager Luis Enrique, whose presence played an integral role in the player choosing to move.

Barcelona will receive a transfer fee of €50 million, with no add-ons, and the Catalans are satisfied with the terms of the operation, considering that the player had entered the final year of his contract at the club.

Ferran says goodbye

Barcelona signed Ferran from Manchester City in the January transfer window of 2022, paying a fee of €55 million.

The 26-year-old attacker was not always a regular starter during his time at the club, but made valuable contributions, especially during the last two seasons under Hansi Flick.

During his time at the club, Ferran has made 207 appearances in all competitions, scoring 65 and assisting 23 goals.

He won three La Liga titles, three Spanish Super Cups and one Copa del Rey trophy with the club.

Now, he will bid goodbye to Barcelona right after enjoying the best campaign of his career and hope to make a telling impact at PSG under Luis Enrique.

As for Barça, they continue to search for a new centre-forward, with Julian Alvarez remaining the priority target.

With Robert Lewandowski having left and now Ferran also on his way out, it remains to be seen if the La Liga champions opt to sign two players for the No. 9 position.
