Barcelona star Ferran Torres on Sunday notched an impressive goalscoring milestone in the colours of the Blaugrana.

This comes after the Spanish international found the net for the latest occasion during the club’s meeting with Elche.

Ferran was for his part afforded his latest starting berth this evening, leading the line as Hansi Flick’s troops set sights on a return to winning ways against newly-promoted Elche.

And the former Manchester City man did not take long to make his impact felt.

After Lamine Yamal opened the scoring inside the opening 10 minutes, Ferran added his name to the scoresheet minutes later.

Laid on courtesy of a fine run and pass on the part of Fermín López, the versatile attacker made no mistake in slotting home from close range.

And in the process, Ferran secured a small piece of Barcelona history for himself.

The 25-year-old has now racked up 50 goals in the colours of the reigning La Liga champions, an impressive feat for a player who has spent most of his time in Blaugrana colours acting as a backup.
