The forward Raphinha has remained one of the most important players for FC Barcelona in the last two years, and has contributed immensely as they won two La Liga titles, two Spanish Super Cups, and one Copa del Rey.
However, surprisingly, he was not one of the thirty players short-listed for this year’s Ballon d’Or award. He was the only Barcelona player on this list, but there were three former Blaugrana players also present, i.e., Sergino Dest (PSV Eindhoven), Marc Bartra (Real Betis), and Ferran Torres (Paris Saint-Germain).
On the other hand, La Liga also recognized Raphinha’s performances by naming him as the Player of the Month for August.
Thus, both UEFA and La Liga have recognized the good start to the new season that Raphinha is having with Barcelona. He has already scored eight goals in five appearances, and is on a scoring streak, having scored goals against all of his opponents this season, including Elche, Athletic Club, Rayo Vallecano, and Valencia in La Liga, and .
