It is of course common knowledge in Catalunya’s capital at this point that Hansi Flick is a stickler for timeliness.

Last season, there were several high-profile cases of Barcelona stars being dropped to the bench, after reporting late for either training or matchday duties.

And as alluded to above, over the last week, Flick’s efforts to ensure punctuality on the part of his players have ramped up yet further.

Speaking during an interview with El Hormiguero, as cited by Fabrizio Romano, Blaugrana star Ferran Torres was drawn on his manager’s strict nature.

And in his response, frontman Ferran revealed:

“Hansi Flick has just changed the rules on arriving late. If it’s matchday and you’re late, you have to pay a €40,000 fine.”
