A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona was on Sunday targeted in harsh fashion by the home crowd in attendance at the club’s meeting with Athletic Club.

The Blaugrana star in question? Lamine Yamal.

Wide-man Lamine, for his part, was in from the off once more this evening, as Barcelona made the trip to the Basque Country as part of the season’s final round of La Liga fixtures.

The 17-year-old has since gone on to endure something of a hit-and-miss outing, struggling to conjure up his usual moments of individual brilliance.

As alluded to above, though, despite as much, Lamine has nevertheless been singled out for tough treatment by Athletic Club’s fans.

During the 2nd-half in particular, on almost every occasion the Spanish international touched the ball, he was met with a loud chorus of boos, jeers and whistles by way of the home crowd.
