The Spaniard has given the green light for a transfer, agreeing to sign a four-year deal with PSG

The two clubs are reportedly locked in negotiations and an agreement is said to be close.

PSG are prepared to pay a fee around €50 million for the 26-year-old’s signature.

The Ligue 1 giants are desperate to reinforce their attack after the departures of Goncalo Ramos, Lee Kang-in and Randal Kolo Muani in the ongoing transfer window

PSG have firmly set their sights on Torres, who was the hero for Spain at the World Cup. He scored the decisive goal for his country in the final against Argentina.

Torres has been an important player for Barcelona since joining them from Manchester City in December 2021.

He scored 21 goals in 49 appearances last season, helping the Catalan club retain the La Liga crown and win the Supercopa de Espana.

But the forward also went 14 games without scoring between late January and mid-April.

If Barcelona decide to extend Torres’ contract, they would have to fork out an additional €8m to City, despite already paying an initial €55m fee plus €10m in add-ons.

This is another incentive for the Blaugrana to sell the striker this summer.
