A member of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga giants Barcelona has moved to clarify a key aspect of his Blaugrana plans moving forward.
The player in question? Roony Bardghji.
Youngster Bardghji is for his part fresh off finally being registered as a Barcelona player.
Owing to the ongoing financial problems in Catalunya’s capital, the 19-year-old was forced to sit out his new club’s first three fixtures of the new season.
Bardghji, though, was officially registered for play earlier this week, albeit with Barca Atlètic.
Speaking to the media whilst on international duty with Sweden, the possibility of playing his part for the Blaugrana’s reserve side was in turn put to the winger himself.
This comes after speculation throughout the summer that Bardghji could share time between first-team and reserve-team duties.
The youngster, however, moved to deny any such chance, in explaining:
“I never came to Barça to play with the reserve team, that possibility never existed. It was something invented by the media. From day one, both the club and I were clear that I’d be part of the first team. I’ve already played over 100 games at first-team level, so I was never going to join a reserve side.”
