In an interview with Polish outlet One (h/t SPORT), Ana Lewandowska, wife of Robert Lewandowski, spoke candidly about the forward’s future and offered clear indications regarding his future at FC Barcelona.
Lewandowski, 37, is in the final few months of his contract at Barcelona and there has been no offer of an extension so far.
Everything points towards a summer departure for the ace goalscorer, with strong interest coming from clubs in Saudi Arabia and the USA.
Now, Lewandowski’s wife, Ana Lewandowska, addressed the situation openly in an interview, seemingly hinting at a summer departure for the veteran superstar.
“We’ll see how the season goes in Barcelona this year because, let’s say, it will probably be my husband’s last here, so we’re squeezing it like a lemon,” she said.
“We’re enjoying every moment, every match with the fans because we know that one day we won’t have any of this.”
She did not wish to go further into speculation and limited herself to expressing their intention to live the present with full satisfaction.
“What’s next? We don’t know, but that’s the way of a great athlete and especially a great sportsman, and we’re ready for it,” Lewandowska added.

Lewandowska also underlined the pride she feels in her husband’s career, saying: “I want people to talk about him for many years to come and for future generations not to forget him.
“Because he has done something great, and I can only say that I feel very proud of everything that has happened.”
As things stand, Lewandowski’s situation is under review by the club’s sporting management. At present, it appears difficult for him to extend his deal for another year, as it would require a significant salary reduction and a more secondary role.
The Polish striker is beginning to attract major offers from Europe, Saudi Arabia and the United States. His priority is to remain, but he also understands that it may be time to begin a new cycle.
Barcelona are expected to speak with the player from the end of March onwards, at which point a consensual and definitive decision will be taken regarding his future.
Should he leave, the Blaugrana will seek a top-level replacement in the transfer market.
