The details of La Liga giants Barcelona’s opening proposal to sign Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi have come to the fore online.

This comes amid confirmation that distance remains between the two parties when it comes to valuation of the player.

Barcelona are of course now widely understood to be pursuing a deal to bring attacker Adeyemi to the Spotify Camp Nou for the 2026/27 campaign.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third, Deco and co. have earmarked the German international – boasting explosive pace and a dangerous left foot – as the ideal fit in Hansi Flick’s squad.

An agreement on the personal terms of a contract, in turn, has since been reached between the Blaugrana and Adeyemi’s entourage.

This, according to transfer journalist Patrick Berger, was followed by a proposal to Dortmund for a fee in the region of €20 million. Ahead of the expiration of the 24-year-old’s terms at Signal Iduna Park next summer, the Barca hierarchy are hopeful of striking a cut-price agreement.

Dortmund had previously been hopeful of recouping closer to €40 million for Adeyemi, with the two sides now working towards finding middle ground on an acceptable valuation.
