The transfer saga involving FC Barcelona, Julian Alvarez, and Atletico Madrid has remained unsolved even as the transfer window reaches its last few days, and all the involved parties are suffering from the current state of affairs.

The Blaugranes, who remained committed to the Argentine to bring him as the replacement for Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres, have not brought in another striker, and go into the next season without a natural first-team center-forward.

The Atletico Madrid CEO, Gil Marin, also reiterated his desire to see Julian Alvarez continuing at his club, and thus, the option of remaining at the Colchonero club for the next season remains for the Argentine star.
