Barcelona have renewed interest in Germany U-21 forward Nicolò Tresoldi after his strong start with Club Brugge in Belgium, Sport reports.

The 22-year-old has scored five goals in nine games this season. A former Hannover 96 youth player, he drew interest from leading clubs in the summer.

His form means a €50 million valuation is likely to be surpassed as early as the upcoming winter transfer window.

Attempts to land Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martínez and Julián Alvarez of Atlético Madrid have left the Catalan club unsatisfied.

Gabriel Jesus left Arsenal for Barcelona shortly before deadline day, yet he remains a substitute under Hansi Flick.

Tresoldi is contracted in Bruges until 2029, but it is considered possible Flick could bring his compatriot to Camp Nou sooner.
