La Liga giants Barcelona are expected to welcome yet another leading member of the club’s first-team ranks back to group training next week.

The subject of injuries has of course taken its place front and centre in the chatter in Catalunya’s capital across the week to date.

For what feels like the first time in some time, however, as much has come for altogether positive reasons.

After Ansu Fati first rejoined group training earlier in the week, the winger was followed back onto the grass by long-term absentee Gavi, on Thursday.

And, as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Friday is anything to go by, then yet further good news looks set to be coming the way of Hansi Flick and co. over the days ahead, too.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘According to what MD has been able to find out, Frenkie de Jong is having very good sensations in the last few days during his training sessions alone.’

So much so that, all going according to plan, De Jong will be given the green light to join his teammates back in group activities at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, for the first time since April, at some point next week.
