Barcelona training confirms positive injury news | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have late this week received some positive timely news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Fermín López is closing on his return to competitive duties.

Midfielder Fermín was of course condemned to a spell on the sidelines last month. As much came after the Spanish international suffered ‘an iliopsoas muscle injury’ en route to a 3-0 win over Getafe.

Fermín, in turn, was forced to sit out each of Barcelona’s last three fixtures across all competitions. The 22-year-old will also not be available to face Sevilla this weekend.

But as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Friday is anything to go by, then Fermín should be back at the disposal of manager Hansi Flick before long.

As per a report from Blaugrana insider Alex Pintanel:

‘Fermín López begins to do work on the field. It is expected that he will be able to play against Girona after the break.’
