Max Barcelona representation at Olympics 2024

Indeed, FC Barcelona will be well represented at the upcoming Paris Olympics, with a record-breaking 13 players selected for their respective national teams. This surpasses the previous record of six players at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

From the Spanish men’s team, Santi Denia has already picked three Barcelona players in Fermin Lopez, Pau Cubarsi and Eric Garcia, who is coming on the back of an excellent loan spell at Girona.

This promises to be a special Olympics for Garcia, as he was also a part of the Spanish team for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

Nevertheless, it is the Barcelona Femeni team that takes charge in terms of representation.

The other name fives are Ona Batlle, Vicky López, Patri Guijarro, Salma Paralluelo and Mariona Caldentey.

The Spanish women’s team, aiming for their first Olympic gold, will kick off their campaign against Japan on July 25 at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes.

The Men’s team, on the other hand, begins its gold medal pursuit against Uzbekistan on July 24 at the Parc des Princes.

With both the men’s and women’s teams aiming for podium finishes, Barcelona fans will have plenty to cheer about throughout the Paris Games.
