In what could be a major setback for Barcelona, a recent report from SPORT suggests that Raphinha is finding it increasingly difficult to receive medical clearance for the upcoming Girona clash.
The Brazilian winger, who picked up a thigh injury during the match against Real Oviedo, remains the player whose recovery has raised the most concern within the club.
Barcelona have begun to receive positive news on the injury front as several key names are close to making their return.
As confirmed earlier, both Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez have resumed full training. Their return has lifted the mood in the dressing room, especially with the El Clasico against Real Madrid later this month fast approaching.
Unfortunately for Barcelona, the same cannot be said about Raphinha. Despite undergoing intensive recovery work, the winger has not responded as well as expected.
According to reports, the medical staff remain cautious, as pushing him back too early could worsen his condition.

The Brazilian has been working individually at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper but has yet to join full team training.
His absence limits Hansi Flick’s options on the wing, especially given the team’s recent struggles in attack in the last couple of matches.
Raphinha’s pace, work rate, and creativity have been missed, and with matches coming thick and fast, Barcelona need every attacking weapon available.
With the Brazilian unavailable, Flick is expected to tweak his attacking unit now that Yamal is back.
What is known is that the club will not take any unnecessary risks. While there is optimism surrounding Yamal and Fermin’s return, Raphinha’s situation is being treated with utmost caution.
If he fails to recover in time, it will be another test of Barcelona’s depth, with Flick likely to rely on Yamal, Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres to maintain the team’s attacking balance against Girona.
