Ansu Fati may have started in Barcelona’s recent match against Mallorca, but the fact remains that his future at the club remains unclear.
At just 22 years old, the winger is no longer seen as a central figure in the team’s plans, but despite this, he has not let the situation affect his mindset. Instead of losing focus, he has chosen to take control of his own progress.
According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, the former Brighton loanee has taken extra steps to keep himself in top physical condition.
Since Christmas, Ansu has been working with a personal fitness trainer outside of the club’s facilities.
This is because he aims to match the fitness levels of his teammates, many of whom have had more regular playing time throughout the season.

The difference in match rhythm was noticeable for Ansu after a long period of limited minutes. While his talent has never been in doubt, the lack of consistent game time meant he struggled to keep up with the pace of competitive football.
Recognising this, Ansu did not wait around for another chance as he took matters into his own hands.
In addition to the regular training sessions at the club’s training facilities, Ansu added private workouts to boost his strength, stamina, and sharpness.
As a result, against Mallorca, he was full of energy, frequently asking for the ball, making constant runs, and helping to create space for his teammates. Although he did not score or assist, his overall contribution was noticeable.
With Robert Lewandowski out injured, Barcelona need every attacking player ready to step up. Ansu’s recent attitude and effort could prove useful in the final stretch of the season.
While his long-term future remains uncertain, his professionalism and determination suggest he is not giving up without a fight.
Even if his time at Barcelona is running out, Ansu Fati is doing everything he can to finish on a strong note.
