Anthony Musaba's move to Norwich City has earned reactions from two of his former Sheffield Wednesday teammates
Barry Bannan and Liam Palmer are among the ex-Sheffield Wednesday teammates to react to Anthony Musaba’s move to Norwich City.
The 25-year-old has made the switch to the Canaries on loan for the season from Fenerbahce, with just over a week left in the transfer window.
The winger has returned to English football after departing Hillsborough in 2025 to sign for Turkish side Samunspor.
Musaba signed for Fenerbahce last January, and he played a total of 32 times in the Super Lig for the two clubs last season, including on 17 occasions for his parent club.
He contributed five goals and five assists, scoring just once for Fener as they finished second in the table.
The forward spent two seasons with Sheffield Wednesday, helping the team come 20th and 12th in the Championship before exiting 12 months ago.

Musaba has issued a message to Norwich fans expressing his excitement at making the switch to Carrow Road from Fenerbahce.
His goal is to achieve something special during his season with the Norfolk outfit, with Philippe Clement’s side targeting a push for promotion in the upcoming year.
“Proud to have arrived at Norwich City,” wrote Musaba, via Instagram.
“I’m ready to give everything I have for this club, fight for our goals, and make the fans proud.
“New chapter. New challenge. Same hunger.
“Can’t wait to see you all at Carrow Road.
“Let’s make this season special.”
Bannan and Palmer were both among the former teammates to respond to Musaba’s message, with the former writing: “All best Musa, dance when you score please.”
Meanwhile, Palmer replied: “Congrats brother.”
Musaba played alongside the pair during his time at Sheffield Wednesday, where he made 72 league appearances across two campaigns.
He contributed 10 goals and 11 assists, with Danny Rohl leading the team away from almost certain relegation in 2023/24, before the club finished 12th in the following campaign.
Musaba’s impressive performances led to him signing for Samunspor, making the move away from the Owls amid their difficult financial position.
The Yorkshire outfit went into administration just a few months after his departure, and Henrik Pedersen led the team to relegation from the second division.
Norwich fans are optimistic that Musaba can be a positive addition to Clement’s side, and are mostly just disappointed by the lack of an option to sign him permanently.
Some supporters are hopeful that he could still sign permanently next season, if things go well over the next campaign.
Fans are excited to see Musaba in action, particularly to see someone with his pace on the ball.
Meanwhile, some supporters are baffled by his decision to take the number 49 jersey.
Norwich will return to action on Saturday with a trip to face Millwall in a 12.30pm kick-off.

Musaba showed promise at Sheffield Wednesday, and he had a solid season in Turkey despite moving clubs.
No permanent option in the deal does mean that the Canaries will be vulnerable to losing him again next year if he does perform well.
But if he can help Clement’s side fight for promotion to the Premier League, and perhaps even return to the top flight, then it should be possible to negotiate terms with Fenerbahce.
Musaba was clearly well liked during his time at Sheffield Wednesday, so he should be a smart addition to the dressing room, and it will help that he already knows the Championship well.
