Basar Önal signs four-year Lille deal after NEC Nijmegen agreement

Lille have completed the signing of Türkiye winger Basar Önal on a four-year contract, according to L'Équipe, after agreeing a €9.5m fee with NEC Nijmegen plus €2.5m in bonuses.

The 22-year-old, an international at youth level, arrives from the Eredivisie.

Right footed but often used on the left, Önal scored seven goals and provided eight assists last season as NEC finished third in the Dutch top flight.

NEC had bought him from De Graafschap for €1m in the summer of 2024.

Club president Olivier Létang said the winger brings complementary qualities to the squad for what he expects to be a demanding season.
