Christian Kofane is silent no more. Nearly three months after his last goal for Bayer Leverkusen, the Cameroonian striker has found the back of the net once again.

The 19-year-old centre-forward netted the only goal in his team's away win over Hamburg (0-1) on Wednesday night, as part of matchday 24 in the Bundesliga.

He eased the pressure for his side in the 73rd minute, finishing off a pass from Algerian Ibrahim Maza. This was his first club goal since November 29, 2025, when he also scored the only goal against Dortmund (a 1-2 defeat).

After his goal against Dortmund, he had played 15 matches across the league, Champions League, and DFB Pokal without finding the net. What a relief!

The Douala native now boasts 6 goals and 7 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions this season, including 4 goals and 3 assists in 21 Bundesliga matches.
