Bayer Leverkusen chief executive Fernando Carro has set a three-year target for another Bundesliga title, building on their 2023/24 breakthrough.
He set 2028 or 2029 as the aim for lifting the trophy again, he told Sport Bild.

For now, Leverkusen sit sixth, 22 points behind leaders Bayern Munich, who are 11 clear of Borussia Dortmund.
“It pains me that Bayern dominates the league so much,” Carro said.
“Of course, they have three times our budget, but over the years they have done a lot of good work. Still, we have to try to make life difficult for them. We succeeded in doing that in 2024.”
