Matchday 25 brought statement wins and upheaval. According to Get German Football News, Bayern coped without Kane, Bremen surged, and Wolfsburg swung the axe.

With Harry Kane nursing a minor injury, Bayern beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-1 on Friday. Leon Goretzka set up Luis Diaz on 33 minutes, then Konrad Laimer struck before the break.

Manuel Neuer left at half-time with a calf issue, Jonas Urbig replacing him. After the restart, Rocco Reitz fouled Nicolas Jackson for a penalty that Jamal Musiala converted, Jackson later made it 4-0, then Wael Mohya’s late consolation made it 4-1. Borussia Dortmund won 2-1 at FC Köln, and Lars Ricken confirmed Julian Brandt will leave on a free this summer. Elsewhere, Freiburg drew 3-3 with Bayer Leverkusen, Hoffenheim beat Heidenheim 4-2, and St. Pauli and Frankfurt, plus Mainz 05 and Stuttgart, drew.
