Bayern and Dortmund ‘to battle’ for Tottenham midfielder Archie Gray | OneFootball

TeamTalk reports that a bidding war could erupt this summer between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich for Archie Gray, with Real Madrid and several Premier League clubs also monitoring the Tottenham midfielder.

Dortmund courted the 19-year-old in summer 2024 while he was at Leeds United, and Leeds’ CEO later confirmed Bayern’s interest. Both clubs entered late, only for Tottenham to land him for 41 million.

Gray quickly became central to Spurs’ plans, impressing with his composure and versatility. The Under-21 international has featured in central midfield, on both flanks and in defensive midfield.

Spurs now face the possibility of relegation to the Championship, which could make retaining key players difficult.

Although his contract runs to 2031, the absence of European competition revenue and the club’s finances could force a sale.
