FC Bayern are apparently stepping up their efforts to sign Kennet Eichhorn, with Vincent Kompany playing a key role in their pursuit
FC Bayern are apparently getting serious in their pursuit of Kennet Eichhorn and, according to Sky, have done everything in their power in recent weeks to convince the 16-year-old Hertha BSC midfielder to move to Säbener Straße
According to the report, there have already been two concrete meetings with the player and, remarkably, Vincent Kompany is also heavily involved in the talks
The Bayern coach is said to have presented his sporting plans to Eichhorn in detail and is clearly pushing for a signing internally
According to Sky, those responsible do not see the German U17 international as a long-term project for the future, but rather as an immediate reinforcement for the professional squad
According to the report, Eichhorn will join Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Tom Bischof as one of the four central midfielders in the Bayern squad
What is particularly interesting is that, according to the plans, the youngster will be given playing time with the professionals in his first season
The Munich club is apparently sending out a clear signal to the Hertha talent: FC Bayern does not want to build Eichhorn up slowly, but rather offer him concrete prospects in professional soccer straight away
According to Sky, those responsible are now waiting for the player’s final decision
However, the transfer will not be a foregone conclusion. As previously reported, Manchester City are still considered the most dangerous rivals in the race for Eichhorn
The English side are also said to be working intensively on a signing, and what is particularly explosive from Bayern’s point of view is that Pep Guardiola is said to be personally involved in the talks
According to Sky, City’s plan is to initially sign Eichhorn and then send him on loan to Bayer Leverkusen so that he can continue to gain regular Bundesliga match practice
Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also said to be interested in the talented midfielder
Internally, Eichhorn has long been a top priority for FC Bayern in central midfield. Despite his young age, the 16-year-old is already a regular for Hertha BSC in Bundesliga 2
Above all, his calmness on the ball, his intelligence and his dynamism in the center should convince the Bayern bosses

In addition, the transfer fee is relatively easy to calculate, with the midfielder’s release clause reported to be between ten and twelve million euros
It seems clear that FC Bayern are determined to make the transfer a reality – and are apparently now going on the offensive.
