Nathaniel Brown has been able to experience a fair amount of the ‘Mia san mia’ feeling right from the start at FC Bayern. On Tuesday afternoon, the summer signing joined team training along with several other of the World Cup participants. His first session in Bayern gear took place in front of fans at the training camp at Tegernsee, with around 3,000 supporters of the German record champions coming and creating a festival atmosphere in perfect weather against a beautiful mountain backdrop. Brown looked suitably impressed and happy as he carried out the many autograph and selfie requests after the work was done.

Along with Manuel NeuerJoshua Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, Alphonso DaviesAleksandar PavlovićMinjae Kim and Hiroki Ito, Brown completed the medical examinations and performance tests on Monday and Tuesday morning. Then in the afternoon on Tuesday, Brown joined his new team-mates on the pitch for the first time in Rottach-Egern. The group worked up a sweat as head coach Vincent Kompany and his staff put the team to the test with an intensive session of running, passing sequences and various match situation drills.

As well as the exciting action on the pitch, a variety of other activies were on offer. For young visitors, there was a basketball shooting machine and a wheel of fortune with great prizes. Of course, mascot Berni was there as well. FC Bayern’s fan support department, together with the local fan club “Bayernfreunde Tegernseer Tal e.V.”, ran another booth featuring mini Oktoberfest challenges such as lifting beer mugs and a beer mat competition. What’s more, the Bundesliga and DFB Cup trophies were on display as a perfect opportunity for souvenir photos. A mobile brass band set the right mood, providing musical entertainment in the beer garden area and filling the training camp with Bavarian sounds.

Another open session will take place at Tegernsee at 10:00 CEST on Wednesday. The Munich men then conclude their training camp with a friendly against local side FC Rottach-Egern on Thursday (18:00). The match will be available to watch live and for free on fcbayern.com and in the FC Bayern app.
