On Christmas Eve of all days, some Bayern fans set out to cover facades in the center of Munich with graffiti. The Munich police responded to the action with a large contingent
According to tz , a total of 37 FC Bayern fans went on a graffiti spree in Munich on the night between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. In the process, the supporters daubed several house walls in Schwabing and Maxvorstadt. As a result, the police deployed a large contingent and were on the scene for several hours
A resident in the area of Georgenstrasse and Tengstrasse noticed the group at around 00.20 a.m. Facades were decorated with FCB lettering and other typical soccer motifs. The perpetrators, aged between 17 and 42, came from Munich and the surrounding districts. 15 patrols with a service dog were deployed in total – even an entire USK platoon was deployed
Due to the large number of suspected perpetrators, the police were kept busy for a long time. The officers spent a total of two hours of their Christmas evening checking the men and then issuing bans
In the end, ten pieces of graffiti were found in the surrounding streets. The police were unable to determine which of the 37 suspects was actually responsible for the graffiti
However, as a local resident had reported where the fans had disposed of a spray can, the officers were ultimately able to recover this piece of evidence. The responsible police department 23 is now investigating the multiple cases of damage to property
Due to the abundant witness statements from local residents, the police should be confident about the upcoming investigations.
