Sacha Boey’s future at FC Bayern is still open – and now a club from the Premier League is apparently getting particularly involved.
According to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, Crystal Palace are making concrete efforts to sign the French right-back.
In addition to Crystal Palace, West Ham United, Juventus, AS Monaco, Olympique Lyon, Sevilla FC and Boey’s former club Galatasaray are also keeping a close eye on the situation, according to the report. The 25-year-old is one of the most interesting winter candidates on the transfer market – and he is one of the most likely departures for Bayern.
Boey only moved to Munich in January 2024 for around 30 million euros, but was never able to establish himself under Vincent Kompany on a permanent basis and hardly gets any minutes on the pitch. That is why a sale in the winter is considered a realistic option internally.
According to information from Fabrizio Romano, Bayern had already actively offered Boey to Juventus, among others. In the final days of the summer transfer window, the Munich club tried to sign the defensive player in Italy, but Juve decided against a deal at the time. Now much depends on how the club’s new sporting director will position himself.

From Munich’s point of view, Boey’s departure would make sense primarily for economic reasons. His market value is currently around 18 million euros – well below the original transfer fee, but still an important contribution to freeing up budget for planned transfers. At the top of the wish list is Givairo Read from Feyenoord, a 19-year-old right-back talent that Bayern need room to sign.
Boey himself apparently still prefers leagues such as the Premier League, LaLiga or Ligue 1. The signs are clearly pointing to his departure. Crystal Palace are pushing, other top clubs are waiting in the wings – and FC Bayern would probably be prepared to go through with the deal in the winter.
