Bayern Munich have placed RB Leipzig attacker Yan Diomande (19) on their shortlist for the summer, according to a report from Florian Plettenberg.
Germany’s record champions plan on signing a ‘top talent for the wing’ in the summer, providing competition for Luis Diaz. The Colombian has started 13 of 14 Bundesliga appearances since his €70m move from Liverpool in July, returning eight goals and six assists. And with Serge Gnabry in the final six months of his contract, Bayern are also looking to reinforce their wide areas.
Plettenberg further adds that 1. FC Koln’s Said El Mala is very high on their list but with interest from the Premier League, Bayern will likely face a bidding war for the young attacker, who has taken the Bundesliga by storm.
In the end, the total package will play a decisive role.
With a contract until 2030 and no release clause, Leipzig already value Diomande at €100m. The Ivorian has scored six goals and provided three assists in 14 Bundesliga games for the Saxony club this season, attracting interest from Europe’s elite in the process.
