Bayern Munich have held “concrete talks” with TSH Hoffenheim striker, Fisnik Asllani, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Rekordmeister are looking for a backup option for Harry Kane, and while Nicolas Jackson is currently on loan at the club, it is unlikely he will stay, so Bayern are now looking for an alternative.
Asllani is an option for the league leaders as a backup to the Englishman. The Kosovo striker is currently Hoffenheim’s top scorer this season with five goals in the Bundesliga.
The tendency is that the 23-year-old forward will leave TSG at the end of the season via his release clause, which will only become active at the end of the season.
Having already shown interest in the player, Bayern’s representatives have now gone one step further and held talks with the player about a potential move to Munich next summer.
The likelihood is that Asllani will leave in the summer; it’s just a case of which club he goes to. With other clubs such as Barcelona also interested, Bayern Munich are trying to make sure that this isn’t a transfer target that slips away.
