Bayern Munich have been linked with a £100million double move for Sunderland pair Brian Brobbey and Robin Roefs ahead of the summer window, according to Sunderland Echo.
Both joined last summer and have impressed in Sunderland’s first season back in the Premier League. Brobbey has reportedly been monitored, while Roefs is said to be on Bayern’s long-term goalkeeping radar.
The Dutch duo are tied to long-term contracts, strengthening Sunderland’s hand. Roefs is valued around £60million, while Brobbey is understood to be worth £40million to £50million.
Brobbey signed from Ajax for about £17.3million, potentially rising to £21.6million, and has six goals in 25 games. His physical presence and movement have been key. The 24-year-old has previously attracted Arsenal interest and is expected to be in the Netherlands’ World Cup squad.
Roefs has been a standout and is firmly number one. Bayern are believed to be seeking a long-term successor to Manuel Neuer, with Roefs reportedly on their list. They also admire Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen, while Chelsea have been credited with strong interest in Roefs.
Sunderland are under no pressure to sell. Their data-led recruitment targets high-upside talent, drawing comparisons with Brighton, and any Bayern approach would test the club’s resolve.
Both players have increased their value since arriving. If interest turns into bids, sporting director Florent Ghisolfi will face major calls. A combined package could approach £100million if Sunderland choose to sell, though there is no obligation.
