Bild has followed up on an earlier report from Sky Germany about Bayern Munich’s interest in 1.FC Köln winger Said El Mala.
The Bundesliga champions are monitoring the progress of the 19-year-old, who has been a hit in the Domstadt in the first quarter of the season.
Bayern’s interest in El Mala is well known in Köln, and the head of scouting, Nils Schmadtke, has informed the winger that once he decides to leave the club, the Rekordmeister will be in the running for him.
El Mala’s contract at the club is valid until 2030, and he does not have a release clause.
Bild rumoured that if Premier League teams show an interest in the 19-year-old, the price could increase to up to €50m.
The 19-year-old can play across the front line, and considering the age of Luis Diaz and Serge Gnabry, El Mala could be considered the long-term heir to the left-wing position. Meaning that Bayern’s future forward line could be Olise, Musiala, El Mala and Kane.
