Bayern Munich star confirms “conversations” with Barcelona | OneFootball

Barcelona are currently in the market for a new left winger, and during the winter, they also looked at that area. Nothing was possible because of their financial woes, but that didn’t stop talks from taking place.

One player that was linked with Barcelona around that time was Bryan Zaragoza. The 22-year-old had an excellent first half of last season at Granada, and as he revealed to Jijantes (via MD), he spoke with the Catalans before ending up at Bayern Munich for a reported fee of €17m.

“Before signing with Bayern there were conversations, I spoke with Barcelona. There was a possibility, but nothing was finished. What came out in the press was reality.”

Zaragoza has had a tough start to life at Bayern, although he is still fancied to turn things around. He would have been a very smart signing for Barcelona, although equally attractive targets are being looked at now, including a certain Nico Williams.
