Harry Kane is enjoying a phenomenal campaign with Bayern Munich

The 32-year-old striker has scored 28 goals in all competitions already, but his involvement in games goes beyond goals and assists.

It seems like he has reinvented himself this season, and Bayern feel the striker has enough in his tank to continue at this level for a few years.

Kane has said in multiple interviews that he is loving his time in Germany and wants to win more trophies with the Bavarian giants.

It was previously thought that he might be tempted to return to England, where he could break Alan Shearer’s goal-scoring record and become the all-time highest goalscorer in the league.

However, he is not interested in breaking records; rather, he wants to win trophies like the Champions League, and he thinks he can achieve that with Bayern.

Kane has a £56m release clause in his contract, but it expires at the end of January.

The striker has decided not to trigger his release clause. For him, winning trophies with Bayern is more important than anything else.

In recent months, mainly Spanish media reported that Barcelona were considering making a move for Kane, as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is set to become a free agent next summer.

However, my information is that a potential move was never seriously discussed.

What Bayern are planning to do with Kane

I previously told CFBayern that contract talks will take place only after the end of January, when his release clause expires.

The England striker still has two years left on his deal, and it appears that all parties are pretty relaxed about his situation.

Kane can even imagine delaying the talks until after the World Cup. Both the club and the player are open to a one-year renewal until 2028.

Kane recently suggested that he expects contract talks with Bayern to resume in the next few months and that fans should not worry about his future.
