Bayern Munich take stance on Newcastle's Nick Woltemade amid Juventus struggles | OneFootball

Bayern Munich made a serious attempt to sign Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart in 2025, but the German forward ultimately joined Newcastle United after the German champions refused to increase their offer of €50 million plus bonuses.

Following his move to England, Woltemade found it difficult to live up to expectations at the Premier League club, and the 24-year-old is currently on loan at Juventus for the 2026/27 season.

Woltemade’s struggles in England have led to speculation that Bayern could reignite their interest in him, but the Bavarians have no plans to do so, according to Bild’s head of football, Christian Falk.

The situation could change as the season progresses, but only if the 24-year-old can significantly improve his performances. 

The first opportunity to do so could come with the German national team, with Woltemade part of Jürgen Klopp’s squad for Germany’s third and fourth UEFA Nations League matches during the international break.
