Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on FC Koln’s emerging winger Said El Mala ahead of a potential move next summer (h/t Florian Plettenberg).

After impressing on loan in the third division with Viktoria Koln last season, the 19-year-old has caught the attention with his spectacular displays in the Bundesliga this term.

The German prodigy scored against Freiburg and Hoffenheim and provided an assist in the draw against Wolfsburg.

His explosive pace and dribbling prowess make him an exciting prospect, with many predicting him as the next big thing in the Bundesliga due to his massive potential.

El Mala’s rise to prominence has drawn the interest of Bayern, who have a great track record for snapping up the best home-grown talents.

Borussia Dortmund are also battling for his signature, having enquired about his potential signing before his move to Koln last year.

El Mala has a contract until 2023, and Koln are looking for around €35 million next summer, but his stock could go up if he continues to deliver goods.

Bayern recruited left-winger Luis Diaz from Liverpool for a hefty €75 million in the summer transfer window to replace Kingsley Coman, who joined Al-Nassr.

El Mala can play on both wings and in the attacking midfield position, which makes him a quality addition to the Bavarians.

Bayern may have to dip their toes in the transfer market for attacking reinforcements next summer due to Serge Gnabry’s uncertain future.
