Bayern Munich will host FC Köln at the Allianz Arena on Saturday in their final Bundesliga match of the season.
The Bavarians head into this game in excellent form, having already wrapped up their 35th league title. Under Vincent Kompany, Bayern have been dominant throughout the campaign, losing just once.
After a thrilling 3-3 draw against Heidenheim, they responded with a narrow 1-0 win away at Wolfsburg last weekend. With 86 points from 33 matches, they will be aiming to end the season on a strong note.
Despite their success, Vincent Kompany’s title-winning squad will have to deal with a few injury setbacks ahead of their official celebrations.
Winger Serge Gnabry has been ruled out after picking up a torn adductor muscle in his right thigh. Left-back Alphonso Davies is also unavailable due to a hamstring injury, while goalkeeper Sven Ulreich continues to be sidelined with an ongoing groin issue.
There are also some expected changes to the lineup. Kompany has confirmed that Leon Goretzka will start in midfield, with this match likely to be his final appearance for the club before departing in the summer.
Raphael Guerreiro is also in line to come into the starting XI, and Manuel Neuer will take his place in goal ahead of former K9ln shot-stopper Jonas Urbig.
Possible Bayern Munich starting XI: Neuer; Stanisic, Upamecano, Tah, Bischof; Kimmich, Goretzka; Olise, Musiala, Diaz; Kane
The match will kick off at 2:30pm BST on Saturday, 16th May.
It is also worth noting that fans in the UK will not be able to watch the match live due to the blackout rule, which prevents any broadcaster from airing the game.
