FC Bayern are once again being linked with Maxence Lacroix, although the former Wolfsburg player does not seem to be very hot at the moment

As the Spanish portal Fichajes reports, the French central defender from Crystal Palace is once again on the German record champions‘ radar

The 26-year-old played for VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga between 2020 and 2024, where he developed into one of the most eye-catching central defenders in the league. Last summer, Lacroix finally moved to Crystal Palace in the Premier League for around €18 million

The Frenchman has also quickly established himself in London. Under coach Oliver Glasner, Lacroix is now one of the undisputed regulars at Crystal Palace. After winning the FA Cup in the previous season, the club now even has the next title to look forward to: Palace will face Rayo Vallecano in the Conference League final on 27 May

The defender’s strong performances have apparently once again attracted the attention of several top clubs

A few weeks ago, transfer reporter Ekrem Konur reported that FC Bayern were also interested in Lacroix, alongside Aston Villa, Chelsea and Liverpool

At the time, however, transfer insider Christian Falk put the speculation into perspective, stating that the Munich club are currently „not looking for another central defender“

In fact, FC Bayern is nominally strong in the center of defense with Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, Minjae Kim, Hiroki Ito and Josip Stanisic

The future of Kim and Ito in particular remains open, with the South Korean and Japanese repeatedly linked with a possible departure from Munich. Should one of them actually leave the club, the situation on the transfer market could change once again.
