Harry Kane is enjoying a stellar campaign with 15 goals and three assists in eight appearances across all competitions for Bayern Munich this season. And with less than two years remaining on his current deal, club bosses are already thinking about tying the Englishman down beyond 2027.
Speaking prior to Bayern Munich’s flight to Cyprus ahead of their UEFA Champions League game against Pafos, board member for sport Max Eberl was hopeful that Kane would extend his deal.
“A collaboration beyond 2027 is absolutely conceivable,” said Eberl. “That’s why we will discuss the next steps with him in a relaxed manner.
“He’s an absolute leader, it would be fantastic to win [more] titles with him, and he said that as well.
“We want to do that with him for a long time to come.”
The 32-year-old became the first player in Germany’s top flight to convert all of his 17 penalties after scoring against Hoffenheim on Matchday 3, and now Kane has extended his record after scoring from the spot against Werder Bremen on Matchday 4.
Not only that, his brace against Bremen takes Kane to 100 goals for Bayern Munich in just 104 games, beating Cristiano Ronaldo (100 goals in 105 games for Real Madrid) and Erling Haaland (105 games for Manchester City).
