After their 7-0 rout of Union Berlin, the FC Bayern pros had a very different event on their schedule for Sunday. The Munich squad made their traditional team visit to Oktoberfest and celebrated together at the Käfer-Schänke.

Numerous players, along with their partners, were in attendance, as were coach Vincent Kompany and the club’s leadership, led by honorary president Uli Hoeneß. However, Michael Olise made one of the most eye-catching appearances.

The French attacking star appeared in traditional Oktoberfest attire, as is customary, but paired his outfit with an extremely unusual accessory: Olise wore a light blue Smurf hat on his head.

This ensured that the 24-year-old was the center of attention at Oktoberfest. While Jamal Musiala wore a classic hat and Jonathan Tah showed up in dark sunglasses, Olise opted for a much more eccentric look.

Olise turns heads with his Smurf hat

It’s not known why Olise chose a Smurf hat of all things. One thing is clear, though: the accessory at least matched the Bavarian surroundings perfectly in terms of color and made the Frenchman one of the standout figures during the traditional Oktoberfest visit.

Olise had plenty of reason to celebrate this weekend anyway. On Friday evening, Bayern had thrashed Union Berlin 7–0 at the Allianz Arena, setting the mood perfectly ahead of their Oktoberfest outing.

On Sunday, the team was then able to thoroughly enjoy their sporting success. President Herbert Hainer even explicitly gave his players permission to do so.

“Everyone has free rein today!” declared the Bayern president. When asked how many Maß of beer the pros were allowed to drink, Hainer added: “As many as they can handle.”

Kompany lets his stars celebrate

Vincent Kompany also seemed relaxed. The Bayern coach arrived with his wife Carla and took time to sign autographs before visiting the Käfer-Schänke.

Some of his players had already taken advantage of the first Oktoberfest weekend on Saturday. Joshua Kimmich celebrated in the Schottenhamel tent, among other places, and clinked glasses there with Bavaria’s Minister-President Markus Söder. Alphonso Davies was spotted in the Schützen tent, where Konrad Laimer and Jonathan Tah are said to have later danced on the benches.

On Sunday, however, the focus was on the team’s group outing. After their convincing victory over Union, the Bayern stars were able to enjoy their Oktoberfest visit without any sporting worries.

And while lederhosen and traditional shirts have long been part of FC Bayern’s traditional Oktoberfest look, Olise added his own unique touch this time. With his light blue Smurf hat, the Frenchman likely provided one of the most unusual Bayern Oktoberfest outfits in recent years.
