Bayern Munich are assessing a summer move for Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey, according to The Independent.

With Nicolas Jackson's loan from Chelsea unlikely to be made permanent, Bayern could seek a back-up for Harry Kane. Any addition could replace Jackson as cover.

Brobbey, 24, has been identified as a potential option after scoring six goals in 25 Premier League appearances since joining from Ajax for €20 million last summer.

The former RB Leipzig forward is a Netherlands international and is expected to be part of his country's World Cup squad.

His market value is currently estimated at €25 million.
