Bayern ‘to extend’ contracts of Max Eberl and Jan-Christian Dreesen after 25 August meeting | OneFootball

Bayern Munich look set to extend the contracts of Max Eberl and Jan-Christian Dreesen, subject to supervisory board approval on 25 August. According to Sport Bild, both renewals have reached the final step.

Herbert Hainer, chairman of the presidential committee, informed Eberl during the Asia tour that his deal will be extended beyond 2027. The five-member presidential committee has already given its approval.

Only the nine-member supervisory board still needs to sign off, with the duration and salary to be set at the meeting.

The presidential committee has also backed an extension for CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen. Talks with him take place this week, as he did not travel to Asia. His terms are likewise on the supervisory board agenda.

Club bosses have noted improved cooperation between Eberl and Dreesen, who together led negotiations with PSV for Ismael Saibari.

Over the past 80 days, Eberl has strengthened ties with Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, speaking with them regularly. Those exchanges have centred on transfer business, unlike previously, which pleased both men and earned Eberl their support.
