As Sky Germany reports, Harry Kane has supposedly already given the green light internally for a contract extension.

"Kane has said yes. The Bayern bosses have been informed. Kane is set to extend his contract with Bayern," said reporter Kerry Hau.

This gives Bayern Munich certainty regarding the English talisman's future, however, the extension is not yet completely finalized.

Kane is currently on extended leave following his 2026 World Cup campaign with England and is expected back in Munich in the coming days.

The talks between Kane and the Bayern's chiefs are then to be significantly advanced, with plans to extend Kane's contract until 2029.

Crucially, Kane is not expected to take a pay cut, with the Englishman one of Bayern's highest earners, with an annual salary of€25million.

An important factor in Kane's decision is apparently his life off the pitch, with the striker and his family very comfortable in Munich.

It had therefore become increasingly clear in recent weeks that a return to England was not a priority for him at the moment.
