Bayern: Vincent Kompany raves about Luis Diaz

Luis Diaz has everything it takes to win over Vincent Kompany, the Bayern Munich manager.

On Sunday, Luis Diaz delivered a sensational performance, netting a hat-trick and providing two assists against Hoffenheim (5-1) in the Bundesliga. The Colombian put on a truly impressive display. During Tuesday’s press conference, Bayern boss Vincent Kompany heaped praise on the former Liverpool star.

"He had a short break in December, which was important for him at that moment. But then, we had another stretch of 7 matches in 20 days in January. He has incredible energy—Lucho is a machine. There are tough moments at times, but he brings exactly the same intensity to training on Mondays. That’s helped us tremendously this season," the Belgian manager revealed.

So far in the 2025-2026 campaign, Diaz has racked up 18 goals and 14 assists in 30 matches across all competitions.
