Unsurprisingly, Bayern dominated the possession and the chances from the outset, and took the lead in the 16th minute from the penalty spot.

Harry Kane was the scorer, coolly sending Wehan keeper Florian Stritzel the wrong way. From here, it felt as if it would be an easy 90 minutes.

This seemed even more likely after Michael Olise doubled Vincent Kompany's side's lead six minutes after the break, striking home after a brilliant run by youngster Lennart Karl.

However, Wehan would not lie down, and stunned Bayern with two goals in the space of six minutes. Both came from Fatih Kaya, and both were excellent finishes following poor defending from Jonathan Tah and Kim min-Jae.

Things got even more dramatic in the 75th minute when Kane missed the chance to give Bayern the lead again from the spot, seeing both his shot and his follow up effort saved by Stritzel.

Wehan thought they had forced extra-time but Kane made up for miss by heading home from close range in the fourth minute of added time to save Bayern's skin.
