Sunday saw another game pass where Chelsea were physically dominated by their opposition. Liam Rosenior admitted as much afterwards. He he has already hinted that the club are looking to the summer transfer window for solutions.

One player they could look to target – at a peak age and with Premier League experience – is Marcos Sensesi. We’ve written about him a few times, but today the BBC’s Nizaar Kinsella dropped an update making it very clear that things are moving in the direction of a free transfer to another team in the English top flight.

BBC list Chelsea as interested in Bournemouth defender

“Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi is increasingly exploring his options for a move to a Premier League rival,” Kinsella writes.

He lists Chelsea, along with Man U and Tottenham as the chief interested parties.

“Sources at Bournemouth expect Senesi to leave on a free transfer, despite the club having made three contract offers in an attempt to keep him.”

He wouldn’t solve our defensive problems in one go, but he would be a step in the right direction, most would say.

In other news…

Liam Rosenior was left “seething” by the actions of one of his players in the game on Sunday.

Eidur Gudjohnsen’s rant after the game has been very popular with Chelsea fans as it sums up a lot of the club’s problems right now.
