Everton are still weighing up whether to trigger their option to buy clause for Tyrique George following his loan according to reports.

George joined Everton on loan in January, but made just one start in his 11 appearances for the Toffees as they finished 13th under David Moyes.

The 20-year-old looked threatening on occasion from the bench, but ultimately the loan didn’t go as well as Everton or Chelsea would have wanted.

Chelsea face a critical summer under new boss Xabi Alonso, with decisions needing to be taken on the future of a number of players.

George falls into that category, and Chelsea have been trying to sell the youngster in the last two transfer windows.

The academy graduate saw a move to Fulham on deadline day fall through last summer, despite a fee of £22m being agreed between the clubs.

Everton do have an option to buy in the loan deal, and BBC Sport have reported the Toffees are still weighing up whether to trigger it or not.

The report adds the value of option to buy is unclear, but it could be similar to the fee which was agree with Fulham last summer, whilst Alonso hasn’t spoken to him or any other players about their future.

George has scored six goals and registered six assists for Chelsea in 37 appearances for his boyhood club, but he could have played his final game for the Blues.
