Beausoleil will deploy reinforced security for the public screening of France v Spain at the centre culturel prince héréditaire Jacques de Monaco, where up to 200 supporters are expected.

According to Nice-Matin, the town hall has set up the venue so residents can watch together on Tuesday 14 July 2026 from 21:00.

The measures are being introduced for the anticipated sporting and festive gathering, which could prompt significant crowd movement, rather than in response to the late-June explosion outside the Sun’s Palace building in Monaco, near the Beausoleil border.

The match was initially due to be shown on Place de la Libération, which will instead host only the Fête nationale ceremony at 18:00.

Three municipal police officers and four private security staff will be on duty, with entrance screening and detection in place. The national police will be stationed at a fixed point during arrivals, then carry out mobile patrols. The reinforced posture is described as standard for such events in a department scarred by terrorist attacks, with security tightened over the past decade, particularly since the Nice attack.
