Benfica have confirmed the departures of André Correia, Higor de Souza, Diego Nunes and Jacaré following their back-to-back Liga Placard success and a season that also brought the Taça de Portugal and Taça da Liga.
As reported by Glorioso 1904, the exits will prompt a reshaping of the squad for 2026/27.
Goalkeeper André Correia, 28, served as the main deputy to Léo Gugiel and drew public praise from Cassiano Klein after the title was secured.
Pivot Higor de Souza departs after a highly positive campaign, scoring 20 goals and taking a prominent role in the team’s attack.
Winger Diego Nunes ended on 19 goals and stood out in the championship final, scoring three times and supplying several decisive assists against Sporting.
Jacaré’s exit is among the most significant. The Brazilian wing-pivot was the squad’s second top scorer with 27 goals and made 42 appearances. He was central to the team’s attacking dynamic and has already said his goodbyes.
With these four exits confirmed, Benfica now move into planning for 2026/27, aiming to defend the national title, compete for every domestic trophy and pursue an ambitious UEFA Futsal Champions League campaign.
