Benfica have entered the race to sign Saint-Étienne forward Tidiane Vibert, with the 16-year-old Franco-Senegalese prospect also tracked by RB Leipzig and Milan.
According to Glorioso 1904, the Rui Costa-led hierarchy, which lost a target to the Premier League, have Vibert well flagged for the future and are following his progress. Saint-Étienne are working to extend his deal to fend off interest.
In France he is regarded as one of the new generation's leading prospects. His technique, ability to unbalance defences and notable maturity have driven a rising valuation for the winger.
Vibert began at Noisy FC, joined Paris FC in 2017, then moved to US Torcy in 2021. Saint-Étienne signed him in the summer of 2024 for their under-17s.
A swift adaptation led to another step up a year later. In July 2025 he was promoted to the club's juniors despite still being eligible for lower age groups.
Benfica are monitoring the situation closely and, at this stage, have made no formal offer. Rui Costa aims to move ahead of rivals and secure one of the most coveted talents of the new generation, with the battle likely to intensify if Vibert keeps progressing in France.
