Benfica deadline day, Porto announce Seko Fofana as José Melro set for Marítimo

The winter transfer window closes on Monday, 2 February, with Benfica navigating late business under José Mourinho.
According to Glorioso 1904, at 09:00 the club had spent about €11m, €6m on Sidny Lopes Cabral from Estrela da Amadora and €5m on Rafa Silva from Besiktas. Income stood at €3.7m from David Jurásek to Slavia Prague for €3m and Leandro Santos to Moreirense for €700,000.
Rafael Obrador was also listed as leaving for Torino on loan.
The same update linked Stije Resink, Jeff Ekhator and Tyrique George. It added that Al Hilal’s interest in Vangelis Pavlidis had cooled, Club Brugge had not given up on Andreas Schjelderup, and Henrique Araújo’s future remained unresolved.
At 14:30, Seko Fofana was announced by Porto, having eluded Benfica.
At 16:30, José Melro was set to join Marítimo.
