Benfica prevail over Aston Villa for Bayern's Palhinha as medical awaits

Bayern Munich have reportedly reached a full agreement with SL Benfica regarding the impending transfer of João Palhinha.

A fee of up to €20million could be received by the German record champions, provided Palhinha achieves all the bonuses set.

However, it's likely Bayern will pocket between €18–19million if the most realistic bonuses agreed in the deal are ticked off.

After reports emerged earlier today regarding the midfielder's move, the 31-year-old will now complete his medical in Lisbon.

Benfica have been working on the deal for weeks and have now won the race despite competition from the Premier League.
